Swifto's Big Four-O!
So Friday night was Dave Swift's 40th birthday party. Beyond being just a general trip-out that we've all been around, healthy, and friends for this long, the party was a hell of a lot of fun. Old friends and good times at a San Diego Padres game, and to top it all off, there was a bench-clearing argument, a ninth-inning come-from-behind win for the Padres, and great food and drinks. Here are my photos!

First, one of the three crashes we saw on the way down.

Stacey really went all out--it was lots of fun. We sat in a private picnic terrace in left-center field at the new Petco Park in downtown San Diego.
Here he is, the birthday boy, Dave, with Don Brown. Don is English and has that look on his face because Dave was trying to explain baseball to him. It was useless.

Below: Really lousy picture, but that guy throwing the ball down there in the bullpen is Trevor Hoffman, one of the great relievers/savers in the game.
A great night in celebration of a great guy, great friend. Thanks, Stacey and Dave!

Happy Birthday, Dave!
