These are photos that my friend Hagop shot in the early 80's at Lance's first ramp, Whittier Skate City, Neil's ramp, and a couple of undisclosed secret spots. Enjoy.
Lance at Skate City in 1982. Frontside invert, classic style.
Neil at Lance's, 1982. (I'm guessing at the year, but it's close.) This looks like a tuck-knee eggplant but with Neil there's no telling what it is. Below is a rare photo of a layback air. This trick lost it's cool status sometime in the mid-eighties and most people stopped doing them. Neil, full extension layback air at Lance's.
Neil's namesake air--classic, perfect lien air at Lance's. (Neil spelled backwards=lien. Not lean!)
Neil, frontside air.
John Lucero, backside layback tailslide. Guessing at the trucks and board I'd say 1982.
Neil, frontside rocknroll on his ramp, 1986.
